We saw the Chennai floods
devastate lives of several families. Satyananda Yoga Centre and Satyananda Yoga
Education Charitable Trust along with Victory foundation and volunteers from
several organizations and individual volunteers rose up to their highest
ability to offer what ever best they could. People in six different areas who
lived along the river side of Adyar river and Buckhingam canal received support
from our efforts.
We have devised a sustainable
program to bring children and youth of economically disadvantaged background
from six different areas to offer them
·
Yogic training, for developing holistic
personality integration
·
Sports training for developing the sportsman
spirit and fellowship and
·
Tuition for academic excellence.
This summer we will be conducting
football camps, along with integrated yoga classes for approximately 200
students. Out of these about 75 students
will be taken on a totally sponsored tour to Rikhiapeeth ashram from 1st
to 7th June, to participate in the national level “Bal Yoga Shivir”
conducted at Rikhiapeeth ashram.
These are some of the pictures of
the young Chennai-ites, learning to bend their bodies, train their feet and
deal with their mind.
Volunteers from Satyananda Yoga
Centre will be conducting classes for these children and youth in the following
areas as part of their football training, which volunteers from Victory
foundation are offering as a seva.

2.
